About Cleveland Cabinets

Berea Kitchens, Designed and Installed Here

Our Cleveland showroom sits on Lorain Road, close enough that a Berea homeowner can stop in on a Thursday evening without making a day of it. Inside you can open real cabinet doors, pull a drawer, run a hand along a countertop edge and see how two finishes look side by side. A designer sits down with you, takes your measurements and your budget, and works out what actually fits your room. Design, cabinets, countertops and installation are all handled by our own team, so nobody hands you off halfway through.

Our Services

Our Remodeling Services for Berea

Six things we do for Berea homes, all handled by one team from the first measurement to the last hinge.

Kitchen Remodeling

We handle full kitchen remodeling for Berea homes, from the first layout drawing to the final install. That covers cabinets, countertops, lighting and the crew that fits them, all managed by one team.

Bathroom Remodeling

We remodel bathrooms across Berea, from a tight hall bath to a full main bath rebuild. Vanities, storage, lighting and surfaces get planned together so the room works for the people using it every morning.

Cabinet Installation

If your Berea kitchen only needs new cabinets, we supply and install them. Our own installers set the boxes level, hang the doors and fit the trim so nothing reads as an afterthought.

Countertop Installation

We template, fabricate and install countertops for Berea kitchens and bathrooms. You choose from full slabs at the showroom, we measure the room, and the finished tops arrive cut to your layout.

Laundry Room Cabinets

Plenty of Berea homes still keep the washer and dryer in the basement or a back hall. We build cabinets, counter space and hanging room around them so detergent and baskets have somewhere to live.

Mudroom and Entryway

Most Berea families come in through the side or back door, not the front. We fit benches, hooks, cubbies and closed storage there so boots and bags stop landing on the kitchen floor.

Get Directions from Berea
Main Driving Route

The quickest run uses the freeway. From downtown Berea, follow Front Street or Bagley Road out to Eastland Road and head north toward Brook Park, then pick up I-480 west.

Stay on I-480 to the Clague Road exit in North Olmsted. Turn north on Clague Road, follow it to Lorain Road, then turn east. The showroom is on Lorain Road in Fairview Park at number 19389.

If you would rather stay off the freeway, Columbia Road, which is State Route 252, runs north out of Berea through Olmsted Falls and North Olmsted straight to Lorain Road. Turn east there and follow Lorain Road in. It adds a few minutes but it is simple to follow.

Major Roads and Intersections

Freeway version: Front Street or Bagley Road, then Eastland Road north, I-480 west, Clague Road north, Lorain Road east.

Surface version: Columbia Road, State Route 252, north the whole way, then right onto Lorain Road.

Coming from the Sheldon Road end of Berea, cut across to Eastland Road rather than working through downtown. Coming from the Olmsted Falls side, Columbia Road is usually the easier start.

Landmarks Along the Way

Leaving Berea you pass Coe Lake and the old depot near Front Street, and the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds sits on Eastland Road as you head north.

Once you are on I-480 the airport is off to your right. On the Columbia Road route you go through the Olmsted Falls town center first.

After you turn east onto Lorain Road you pass the Great Northern shopping area in North Olmsted, then cross into Fairview Park. Keep going and the showroom comes up on Lorain Road.

Kitchen remodeling in Berea

The kitchens we see in Berea homes

Berea kitchens are usually smaller than the outside of the house suggests. Close to Front Street and on the streets around Baldwin Wallace, the kitchen tends to be a closed room at the back with a doorway to a separate dining room and a second door out to the driveway. That puts two traffic paths straight through a room that already has limited wall space.

Further out toward Sheldon Road the rooms open up, but the layout still leans on one long run of counter with the sink under a window. Storage ends up split between a few tall wall cabinets and one deep corner nobody can reach into.

A lot of the older houses drop the basement stairs right off the kitchen. That stairwell takes a whole wall, which is why so many Berea kitchens have the refrigerator parked somewhere odd with no counter beside it.

What we change in a Berea kitchen

The changes that make the biggest difference

The first thing most Berea homeowners ask about is the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. Opening it, or just widening the doorway, changes how the whole ground floor feels without adding a square foot to the house.

After that it is storage. Deep drawers instead of low cabinets, a pull out beside the range, a proper pantry cabinet where a broom closet used to be. Blind corners get swapped for something you can actually reach into.

Peninsulas come up constantly. Plenty of Berea kitchens have one jutting into the room. Once the layout is redrawn it often becomes an island with seating on the far side, or it goes altogether so the path to the back door clears.

Resale matters too. Buyers walking two similar houses on the same Berea street compare the kitchens first, and matched cabinets, a solid countertop and lighting that works is usually what separates them.

Planning a kitchen project in Berea

What to sort out before you start

Permits for Berea go through the city building department, and anything structural, electrical or plumbing will need one. Allow time for it at the front of the project instead of finding out about it halfway through.

Work out where you will wash dishes and eat while the kitchen is out. A basement sink or a garage refrigerator is worth setting up before demolition day, not after.

Measure before you visit. Bring the length of each wall, the ceiling height, and where the windows, doors and basement stairs sit. With that on the table a designer can lay out real options in one sitting instead of guessing.

If your house sits on a stone foundation and the kitchen is above it, mention it early. Moving a sink or a range across the room in that kind of house takes more planning than it does in a newer build, and it is far easier to design around from the start.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is your showroom from Berea?

Our Cleveland showroom is roughly 8 miles from Berea, about a 15 minute drive depending on where in the city you start and how I-480 is running. The address is 19389 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126.

Do you work on older homes near Baldwin Wallace?

Yes. A good share of our Berea work is in the older houses around the campus and downtown, where the kitchen is closed off and short on storage. Those rooms usually need the layout rethought, not just new doors.

Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?

You can walk in during opening hours, Monday to Wednesday 12:00 to 6:00 pm and Thursday 12:00 to 8:00 pm. If you want a designer's full attention, call (216) 353-8600 first and we will hold a time for you.

What should I bring from my Berea kitchen?

Wall measurements, ceiling height, and the position of the windows, doors and basement stairs. Photos of the room from two opposite corners help as well. That is enough for a designer to start laying out options.

Do you install cabinets and countertops yourselves?

Yes. The same company that designs your Berea kitchen supplies the cabinets and countertops and sends its own installers. There is no outside contractor to chase and no handover in the middle of the job.

Do you handle bathrooms and mudrooms in Berea too?

We do. Bathrooms, laundry rooms and mudroom or entry storage are all part of what we take on for Berea homes, and they are often planned in the same visit as the kitchen.
