About Cleveland Cabinets

Lyndhurst Kitchens, Designed and Fitted Here

Our Cleveland showroom is a working cabinet store, so the doors, finishes and countertop edges are in front of you instead of in a catalog. Bring the measurements of your Lyndhurst kitchen, or just photos and the rough size, and a designer sits down with you at the table. You see the styles in person, hold a countertop sample next to them, and talk through what the layout can actually do once a wall or a doorway moves. The same team then supplies and installs the work.

Our Services

Our Remodeling Services for Lyndhurst

Six services for Lyndhurst homeowners, all run by one team from the first drawing to the final walkthrough.

Kitchen Remodeling

We handle full kitchen remodeling for Lyndhurst homes, from the first layout to the final install. That covers cabinets, countertops, lighting and the crew that fits them, all managed by one team.

Bathroom Remodeling

We remodel bathrooms across Lyndhurst, including the tight upstairs baths on streets off Brainard Road. Vanity, storage, tile and fixtures get planned together so the finished room actually works.

Cabinet Installation

If a Lyndhurst kitchen only needs new cabinets, we supply and install them. Our crew takes out the old boxes, levels the new ones on floors that have settled, and finishes the trim so everything sits straight.

Countertop Installation

We template, fabricate and install countertops for Lyndhurst kitchens and bathrooms. Seams, overhangs and sink cutouts are settled on paper before anything is cut.

Laundry Room Cabinets

Laundry in Lyndhurst is usually in the basement or a back hall with very little room. We fit cabinets, a folding surface and closed storage for the things that end up stacked on the dryer.

Mudroom and Entryway

Most Lyndhurst homes have a side door off the drive that opens into the kitchen or a back hall. We build in a bench, hooks and closed storage so coats and boots stop landing in the corner.

Get Directions from Lyndhurst
Main Driving Route
From Lyndhurst, get onto I-271 south at either the Cedar Road or the Brainard Road interchange. Stay on I-271 south to the I-480 interchange, then follow I-480 west across the south side of the county. Take the Clague Road exit in Fairview Park, head north on Clague Road to Lorain Road, then turn east on Lorain Road. The showroom is about a mile along, at 19389 Lorain Rd. Figure on roughly 26 miles and about 35 minutes outside rush hour.
Major Roads and Intersections
The roads that matter on this trip are Mayfield Road and Cedar Road at the Lyndhurst end, the I-271 and I-480 interchange in the middle, and Clague Road and Lorain Road at the Fairview Park end. If I-480 is backed up, Mayfield Road west to I-90 west and then Lorain Road is a workable second option, it just runs through more traffic lights. Heading home, the same route in reverse puts you back on Mayfield Road or Cedar Road within Lyndhurst.
Landmarks Along the Way
Leaving Lyndhurst you pass Legacy Village and the Acacia Reservation if you start from the Cedar Road side, or the municipal buildings and Brush High School if you come down Mayfield Road. On I-480 west you go by the I-77 and I-71 interchanges and then Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, which is the sign to watch for. The Fairview Park exits come up a few minutes after the airport. Once you turn onto Lorain Road you are on a stretch of small storefronts and restaurants, and our storefront sits on that strip.

Kitchen remodeling in Lyndhurst

How Lyndhurst kitchens are usually laid out

Most kitchens in Lyndhurst were drawn when the kitchen was a work room, not a place anyone sat down in. The room ends up boxed in on three sides, with a doorway to the dining room, a back door and the basement stairs eating the wall space that could have held cabinets.

What that leaves is a short run of counter and nowhere to set a bag of groceries. Homeowners on the streets off Brainard Road and Sunset Road tend to tell us the same two things: the counter fills up instantly, and the good pans live in the basement because there is no drawer deep enough.

Homes closer to Richmond Road and the Legacy Village side of the city usually have more floor space, but the storage is shallow and the island, where there is one, is too narrow to work at. Those kitchens rarely need gutting. They need replanning.

We have completed over 8,000 kitchen designs, and a good share of them are rooms this exact size on the east side. The order of the fix is almost always layout first, then storage, then finishes.

What we change in a Lyndhurst kitchen

The changes that make the biggest difference

The first change is usually the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. Removing it, or opening a wide pass through, turns two cramped rooms into one usable one and frees a full run of wall for cabinets and counter.

The second is height. Standard upper cabinets stop short of the ceiling and leave a dust shelf above them. Carrying the uppers all the way up adds a shelf of real storage in a Lyndhurst kitchen without changing the footprint of the room by an inch.

After that come the fittings people notice every day: deep drawers in place of low cupboards, a pull out beside the range, a pantry cabinet deep enough for a full grocery run, and somewhere for the recycling that is not under the sink.

Resale is worth a thought too. The kitchen is the room buyers in this part of Cuyahoga County look at first, which usually argues for a clean, well built kitchen over an unusual one if you expect to move within a few years.

Planning a Lyndhurst kitchen project

What to sort out before the work starts

Permits come first. Structural work, plumbing moves and electrical changes are inspected by the City of Lyndhurst, and that paperwork is handled as part of the job rather than left sitting with you.

Then think about how you will live through it. Set up a temporary kitchen somewhere else in the house, usually the basement or the dining room, with the fridge, a microwave and the kettle. Many Lyndhurst homes have a side door off the drive that lets the crew come and go without tracking through the whole house.

The order of decisions matters more than people expect. Layout, then cabinets, then countertops, then tile and hardware. Picking a countertop first tends to lock in choices that should have stayed open a while longer.

Last, book the showroom visit for a weekday. We are open Monday to Wednesday from noon to 6 pm and Thursday from noon to 8 pm, and the Thursday evening slot is the one most Lyndhurst homeowners use after work.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is your showroom from Lyndhurst?

Our Cleveland showroom is at 19389 Lorain Rd in Fairview Park, roughly 26 miles from Lyndhurst and about a 35 minute drive on I-271 south and I-480 west. Most Lyndhurst homeowners come once to see the doors and countertops, then again to sign off on the drawings.

Do you remodel kitchens in Lyndhurst and nearby suburbs?

Yes. We design and install kitchens across Lyndhurst and the neighboring Hillcrest suburbs, including South Euclid, Mayfield Heights and Richmond Heights. The same team that draws the plan supplies and installs the cabinets and countertops.

Can you open up a closed off Lyndhurst kitchen?

Often, yes. A lot of Lyndhurst kitchens are cut off from the dining room by a wall, and that wall can usually come out or be opened into a wide pass through. We check what it is carrying before anything is promised, and any structural change goes through the City of Lyndhurst with the right permits.

What should I bring to the first showroom visit?

Photos of your kitchen, rough measurements if you have them, and any styles you have saved. That is enough for a designer to talk through layout options with you at the table. If you do not have measurements, we can arrange to take them at your Lyndhurst home.

Who installs the cabinets and countertops?

Our own crew. Design, supply and installation sit with one team, so there is no gap between the person who drew your kitchen and the people fitting it. Materials carry manufacturer warranties and our installation carries a workmanship warranty.

Do you handle bathrooms and laundry rooms too?

Yes. Alongside kitchens we take on bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms and whole home storage for Lyndhurst homeowners. Doing them together usually makes sense, since the same crew is already in the house.
