From the center of Olmsted Falls, take Columbia Road, State Route 252, north out of town. Stay on Columbia through North Olmsted until it meets Lorain Road, then turn right and head east.
Lorain Road carries you straight through North Olmsted and across the line into Fairview Park. Our showroom sits on Lorain Road at number 19389, a short run past the Gemini Center. The whole trip is about 7 miles and roughly 15 minutes, a little longer during school pickup or evening rush.
Major Roads and Intersections
Columbia Road, State Route 252, is the main north to south link between Olmsted Falls and Lorain Road. Bagley Road is the east to west spine through town, so drivers coming from the Fitch Road, Stearns Road, Cook Road or Lewis Road side usually take Bagley across to Columbia first.
I-480 runs just north of town and feeds into Lorain Road at its west end, which is the option most people use when Columbia is backed up at the Bagley light.
Once you are on Lorain Road, the intersections to watch are Columbia Road, Great Northern Boulevard and Clague Road. After Clague you are in Fairview Park and only a few minutes out.
Landmarks Along the Way
You start near Grand Pacific Junction and the old depot, with the Rocky River valley and the falls just below the road. Heading north on Columbia you cross Bagley Road by the Olmsted Falls schools.
Further north, Lorain Road puts you in the Great Northern shopping stretch in North Olmsted. From there it is a straight run east past the Gemini Center in Fairview Park. When you see the Cleveland Cabinets sign on the right, you are there.

Kitchen remodeling in Olmsted Falls
The kitchens we see most in Olmsted Falls
Olmsted Falls is not one kind of house. Around Water Street, Mill Street and the streets closest to the falls, the homes are older and more compact, and the kitchen is usually closed off from the dining room with almost no pantry. Storage happens in one wall of uppers and a broom closet.
Out toward Cook Road and Lewis Road the houses are larger and the problem flips. The kitchen is open and the island is big, but the island was never planned around how the family actually moves, so three people end up standing in the same square of floor.
In between sit the ranches and split levels off Fitch Road, Usher Road and Mapleway Drive. Those kitchens tend to have one long cabinet wall, a small peninsula, and a back door that lands right in the cooking zone.
The complaint we hear is nearly always storage and traffic, not square footage. Most of these rooms have enough space. They just spend it badly.
What we change in an Olmsted Falls kitchen
Layout first, finishes second
The first thing that usually moves is the walkway. In the older Olmsted Falls homes, the path from the side door to the dining room cuts straight through the cook's space. Relocating the sink or the range breaks that collision, and it often does not require touching a wall.
The second is dead storage. A blind corner, a deep base cabinet holding one stack of pans, an upper shelf nobody can reach without a chair. Deep drawer bases, a real pantry, and a pull out beside the range recover more room than people expect.
The third is the island. In the newer homes on the west side, we often keep the island where it is and change what is inside it: trash pull out, drawers instead of doors, seating on the side that does not block the range.
On resale, buyers walking through an Olmsted Falls kitchen look at cabinet condition, countertop material, and whether the room connects to where people sit. Fixing the layout carries more weight than upgrading a single finish.
